MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR At CLOTHES THE DEAL, our Donors, Clients and Partnering Agencies have always been at the heart of everything we do. CTD has a remarkable 25-year record of serving over 90,000 vulnerable MEN, WOMEN & YOUTH in our community during their reach toward economic independence. We understand the challenges that everyone will face during the COVID-19 precautionary closures. Now, more than ever, our employment services are vital. We have implemented a ZERO-CONTACT contingency business plan and are committed to continuing to serve our community. We are still currently accepting CLOTHING DONATIONS by appointment.
It is CTD's policy that donated items be CLEANED, HUNG and in EXCELLENT REPAIR. As part of our COVID-19 precautions, all items are quarantined for 7 days upon arrival. They are then aerosol disinfected. Once sorted and hung, all items are steamed for added measure. Please contact Steve DeLeon to make arrangements: 909/524-5344 or Steve@ClothesTheDeal.org.
We are still serving all PARTNERING AGENCIES and low-income JOB SEEKERS through zero-contact appointments. As part of our COVID-19 precautions, all sizing and intake forms assistance are now done by telephone or web-conferencing. This is actually VERY EASY and has proven to be a VERY EFFICIENT way to gather the information. Please contact Lupita Villegas to make arrangements: 562/884-7471 or Lupita@ClothesTheDeal.org.

START IN YOUR CLOSET If you’re clearing closets during your home-stay period, please consider donating them to Clothes the Deal. We are still accepting donations. Our policy has always been that the articles should be cleaned, hung and in excellent repair. We are reiterating this standard practice with our donors.
Now, more than ever, our services will be a vital component in the job search process & helping our neighbors find dignified work. Our client base is expected to be those most effected by the shut-downs and lay-offs.
Arrangements may be made for pick-up or drop-off by emailing the office through the website or calling Steve DeLeon at 909/524-5344. GIVE YOUR CLOTHES A SECOND LIFE AND SOMEONE ELSE A SECOND CHANCE

LET’S COLLABORATE CTD’s mission is to build community partnerships in order to provide low-income men, women and youth with professional business attire in order to empower them when reaching for employment and self-sufficiency. This starts by providing clients the opportunity to achieve parity in their efforts. If you have a collaborative possibility, idea or thought, LET’S TALK! No one knows what is around the corner, but we do know we need to be ready to support the newly unemployed when they get back to looking for work. Since 1995 when our founder Ann Gusiff started this effort as a college-class project, Clothes the Deal has served over 90,000 job-seekers. Our work is far from over, but we will need your help during this difficult time. Again, please consider donating your gently worn business clothing, making a financial contribution or sharing any great ideas for a collaborative opportunity. We’re all in this together and together we’ll make a difference. With sincere appreciation from the Staff, Board of Directors and the Clients we serve, THANK YOU!! Michele Ward
