BUSINESS CLOTHING PROGRAM
Through the BUSINESS CLOTHING PROGRAM, CTD responds to the critical need of job service agencies and their participants. The high quality, new & donated men's and women's professional attire and accessories are a perfect benefit for those who cannot afford workplace & interview clothing. The objective is to remove barriers and create parity for our clients.
CTD provides low-income job seekers a professional image and sense of support that comes from being a part of a larger network of sponsors. Through corporate clothing drives, a network of drop-off locations and donations directly from manufacturers and retailers, CTD is able to collect extremely high-end, ready-to-wear items.
Clothing orders are available for delivery or pick-up. Agencies that provide transportation may visit the boutique in Downey with their participants. CTD offers a full boutique with over 5,000 items to choose from, changing rooms, and staff to help participants find the right business suit. At full capacity, the site has room for up to ten participants at one time.
CTD distributes over 18,000 pieces of clothing through the Business Clothing Program to ~1500 clients a year. 100% of the items provided for this program are donated to CTD.

ADAPTIVE CLOTHING PROGRAM
CTD's ADAPTIVE CLOTHING PROGRAM provides attire that has been custom tailored and altered for low-income disabled individuals living with restricted capabilities, which makes dressing and undressing difficult. The objective is to offer clients living with disabilities an even playing field when dressing to seek employment or for the workplace. After assessing the individual client's clothing modification needs, our volunteer seamstresses adapts a business appropriate ensemble for them. Both the clothing and alterations are free of charge. Basic alterations include replacing buttons with Velcro or magnets, adding back panels or elastic waistbands on pants for wheelchair users, and other various adjustments for amputees. CTD collaborates with other community nonprofits serving U.S. Veterans, developmentally challenged, and physically impaired participants. The Adaptive Clothing Program for Veterans began with a 21st Century Solutions grant from the NBC Universal Foundation in 2015. CTD assists ~5 clients a year with adaptive clothing alterations.
